I was born in Scotland to a Scottish Dad and a Dutch Mother.
Sign: Sagittarius.
Hobbies: Reading, traveling, beading necklaces, taking photographs.
Life’s Ambition: Although cliché, to feel that somehow I
had a positive effect on someone else’s life.
Philosophy on Life: Be open to all possibilities.
Major Accomplishments: That I am no longer so shy and quiet
that people think I don’t speak English (it happened in High School).

Pet Peeve: People who forget they have to share this world
with more than 5 billion others.
Fondest Memory: One of them is eating a cheese sandwich on
top of the Kamm Spitze in the Austrian Alps.

| Favorite
Geographical Spot: I don’t have any
favorites, only favorites of the moment
and that moment may last from a few minutes
to perhaps a few days. I will admit to
a fondness for West Hill Pond, CT on
the second weekend in August, the Alhambra
in Granada, Spain, and the hills of the
Scottish Highlands.
Favorite Color: I
am quite fond of purple but have a
new appreciation for blue.
Favorite Book: Jitterbug Perfume
by Tom Robbins, The House of the Spirits
by Isabel Allende & In the Time of
the Butterflies by Julia Alvarez are
at the top of my list.
Favorite Movie: Room with a View & The
Red Violin.
Favorite Comic Strip: I miss
The Far Side & Calvin and Hobbes.
Favorite Food: I am quite fond
of Pad Thai, Michael’s Filet with Gorgonzola
and Garlic (now that I am no longer vegetarian),
warm French bread with Brie and grapes,
cafe con leche with pan tostado and hot
chocolate with cheese and tortillas.
Favorite Restaurant: There are
several restaurants on the Thai island
of Koh Tao that were quite memorable
(for more than just the English translation
on the menu).
Recipe You Are Most Famous For: Oatmeal
Raisin Cookies.
Favorite Ben & Jerry’s Flavor: At
one point it was Cherry Garcia until
I discovered Chocolate Brownie (both
in the frozen yoghurt variety).
